The Ring Bling
Ok, it happens! He finally pops the question! You open the box, and the ring is GORGEOUS!! You’re so flippin’ excited, you can’t even contain your joy. You post your #isaidyes ring #selfie you’ve taken on your camera phone…X-pro II to show off the tan or maybe Mayfair, which gives the ring a nice highlight. Ahhh, you finally decide which is more important (no judgement here). Your armed with your shakey-handed selfie, and think “life cannot get any better than in it is in this moment.” And you know what??
I agree with you!!
Getting engaged was absolutely the happiest time of my life. And I looked forward to the wedding planning, heck – even the “rest of my life” planning.
There is so much to look forward to in wedding planning. Where is it going to be? What are the perfect colors? Date?? The weather must correspond with our personalities and the optimal flower selection, which all has to coordinate! Do NOT even get me started on the dress.
So where does the ring fit in this equation?
You take the one picture with your camera phone, and all of a sudden, the outward symbol of your engagement is put on the back burner. You get busy, and the ring loses it’s newness feeling.
So what if you tell your photographer that you want some ring pictures when you schedule your engagement session? What would that look like?
Your fiancé picked out your ring based on your personality. And your ring bling pictures should represent that too!
Are you a partier? Or just love “fabulous” shiny things? What if you’re more of a subtle country girl? Or even an artist? And etc. Can you see it? The personality of the girls reflected through the pictures? That is what a true ring #selfie should look like – your personality carefully depicted through photography to connect your ring to your life. Your wedding. Your new family unit.

How would you want YOUR ring shown to the world?
xoxo
