Do you have a favorite nook that you like to hang out with your family?

This little family loveddddd reading together on the bed, which made for ridiculously cute photos!!

I love photographing your family in your home because it brings in an everyday aspect to your photos. It’s often times more causal, BUT I’ve had many clients tell me it means more because you’re in your own space...not just a pretty place.

I’m sure you can guess that I’m pro photos anytime anywhere. And each session: portraits, studio portraits, lifestyle photos, documentary photos, engagements, and weddings all have their time and place and benefits for display. But lifestyle photos at home are always a win!😉

Which do you prefer? Shots in the home or shots at a pretty place?

That’s my hubs, Rich, and my puppers, Bears.

Over the weekend, I took our fall family photos. We definitely got some stares setting up my tripod at the park, but the photos were worthhhhhhh it.

What can I say?? I know what I want for our pics!😂😂

As a photographer, I get the insecurities and always wanting to be behind the camera vs the struggle of never being in any photos because you’re always the one taking them. But since I’ve been in front of my business more (especially on the branding side) and showing up in photos as a result, I have been loving our family photos and actually “existing in photos” again.

Yes, I give you permission to get photos of you and your honey...just because.

But in case you needed a couple of reasons:

1. Christmas is coming. Cough cough christmas cards.
2. Trees are pretty. But only for a little while longer.
3. Photo sessions make great gifts.
4. It’s fun to see how you “love” in photos.
5. Spend an hour feeling confident and good about yourself. (I love showering you in compliments...)
6. When was the last time you had photos together???
7. We aren’t even really leaving the house right now. Don’t we need a reason to put on makeup and look presentable?!
8. That empty space on the wall isn’t going to fill itself. (Prints make GREAT artwork.)
9. Everyday is special when you’re with the one you love. ❤️❤️ commemorate it. 😘😉
10. It’s fun. Period. Come have fun with me. 😁😁

There is something about photographing little kids that I just love.❤️❤️

Their emotions are so genuine! They laugh so easy.

They’re not self-conscious yet. And they don’t worry about needing to lose ten pounds. They’re not too scared to play like us adults are.

Kids are completely unpredictable but oh so lovely.

I’ve got info on mini sessions coming soon. (😬😬 still working on an awesome location for us, but hang tight!)

But I AM booking for fall family sessions today all over the place!! These are one hour sessions at a gorgeous location, one that we decide on together! We take group photos, kids together, parents together, pretty much...every combo you can think of! Sitting fee is $200 and prints/files are separate.

Fall is officially here, which means it’s time for new family photos (including that christmas card 😉).
